Starting at Earls Court
The coach leaves from opposite Earls Court Underground Station, on the Warwick Road exit side, at Bus Stop C, SW5 9TB. The exact departure time is printed on your voucher, since Anderson Tours runs this itinerary with more than one pickup time across the season.
An hour or so in Avebury
Avebury is a working village built inside and around its own stone circle, which is larger than Stonehenge's. The guided portion covers part of the circle; after that you have free time, and the Red Lion pub in the village is a popular lunch stop, though it isn't included in the tour.
Silbury Hill from the field path
A short stop lets you see Silbury Hill, the largest artificial prehistoric mound in Europe, from the surrounding field. English Heritage keeps the hill itself closed to climbing to protect the site, so this is a viewing stop rather than a walk to the top.
Into West Kennet Long Barrow
A walk up a short hill brings you to West Kennet Long Barrow, where the entrance is open and you can go inside the stone burial chambers. Unlike most monuments of its kind, the chambers here are tall enough to stand upright in.
The hour that's the point of the day
Towards evening, once Stonehenge has closed its gates to day visitors, your group is let inside the rope line for a fully guided hour among the stones. This is the part of the day that a standard admission ticket doesn't include.
The drive back
The coach returns to central London, with the tour manager confirming your drop-off point along the way since the exact timing depends on traffic.
